3 Reasons You’ll Love Moving to Nashville, TN

Moving to Nashville

No matter what time of year you’re planning to relocate, Nashville can provide a lot of fun and enjoyment for you and your family. Tennessee is one of the best states to live in since you can enjoy lots of good music, take in the natural scenery, and experience some delicious cuisine. If you’re planning on moving to Nashville, Unpakt has a few reasons why this city is a great choice for your new home!

1. The Southern Atmosphere

Even though Nashville is technically a big city and has lots to offer in terms of live entertainment, food, and shopping, you’ll find that the atmosphere is quite Southern. Strangers are likely to smile and say hello, and professionals are pleasant and personable. The city is proud if its innovative advances in the areas of technology and medical care, but people are still especially cordial. The moving company who helps you move your belongings will likely wish you well in the city and be very helpful.

Nashville

Nashville is rich in history, so you’ll want to visit the many historic mansions located here. The Hermitage was owned by Andrew Jackson, and it’s very well preserved. Another gem is the Carnton Plantation, which was once the site of a Civil War battle. Many of Nashville’s antebellum mansions are now museums that offer guided tours.

2. The Live Music

The city is widely known for being the hub of country music, but you can easily hear Americana, R&B and pop music in the city at various venues as well. Whether you want to attend the latest open mic at a bar or want to purchase tickets to the Nashville Symphony, the city is sure to appeal to your musical tastes.

  • Grand Ole Opry House – This world-famous 4,400-seat establishment is as popular now as it was when it first opened. Today, there is a constant flow of concerts to enjoy, or you can just stop by and take a tour.
  • Bluebird Café – Tourists flock to large venues, but locals (including the new ones that Nashville movers just unpacked) know that you will never experience a better show than at one of the intimate clubs like this one. Interestingly, both Garth Brooks and Kathy Mattea played this club before making it big.
  • Ryman Auditorium – Many think of the Grand Ole Opry House as giving birth to country music, but before that establishment opened, there was the Ryman Auditorium, which dates back to 1892. A diverse assortment of musicians have played here from Patsy Cline to James Brown to Sheryl Crow. This venue was completely renovated in 1994 and continues to offer a fantastic selection of performances. No matter what type of music you enjoy, you will find plenty of concerns here worth taking in. Be warned, these are typically sold-out performances, so don’t wait until the last minute to get your tickets.

3. The Variety of Dining Options

The city is known for its traditional Southern flare, but you can also find a wealth of culinary options if you’re in search of a tasty adventure. Hattie B’s, the home of Nashville Hot Chicken, is the place to be if you love soul food like fried chicken, collard greens, Mac and cheese, and baked beans. If you’re in the mood for an innovative meal, restaurants like City House and Husk will likely satisfy your cravings.
