The 6 Best Festivals in Pompano Beach, FL

Best Festivals in Pompano Beach

When the weather is beautiful year-round and the beaches call your name just about every day, what other reason do you need to move to Pompano Beach, FL? An amazing variety of festivals throughout the year, that’s what. Whether you want family fun or something more for the adults, you’ll find something up your alley. Check out our list of the six best festivals in Pompano Beach, and mark your calendars.

Pompano Beach Seafood Festival

With an abundant source of amazing local catch and top-notch seafood restaurants, it would only make sense that residents would gather in the cooler month of April to celebrate the flavors of the sea. With three stages, food vendors, local artists and crafts, and of course lots and lots of seafood, bring the family for a day or all three days of family activities in Pompano Beach, FL.

Italian Festival, St. Colemans

A fine weekend in February brings out all the fans of Italian food, culture, and celebration. St. Coleman’s Italian Festival has all the trappings of a big fair: rides and games, a silent auction, lots of authentic Italian foods and treats, an air-conditioned exhibit hall of crafts, and live music and entertainment under the stars. Sample a spicy Italian sausage at tables right in front of the stage once your stomach has settled from your ride on the Gravitron, and you’ll wrap up this weekend feeling fully satiated.

Old Town Untapped

This one is more for the adults in the family, and better yet? It happens monthly. Finish your week at Bailey Contemporary Arts in the heart of downtown every first Friday of the month. Craft breweries, food trucks, live music and more bring everyone together from 6-9pm, meaning you can plan on meeting friends here each month to reconnect when life gets busy. Get to know the best of the local scene and build your community connections each month at Old Town Untapped.

Pompano Holiday Boat Parade

A festival of lights for 55 years and still going strong, this December parade of lit up boats just keeps getting brighter. Plan well in advance to get a spot along the Intercoastal, or get a spot at one of the “official watch spots” for the best view of each boat competing to be named “Best In Show”. It’s a great opportunity to spend some time taking in the beautiful cool of Florida evenings in December, and to take in some outdoor activities in Pompano Beach.

Gridiron Grill Off

Bring together NFL stars, a lineup of grills, wine tasting, and a fall day in Florida, and you have quite a tasty recipe. Compete against your favorite players in cornhole, then go sample dishes grilled by local celebrity chefs paired with premium wine and tunes from the latest up-and-coming musicians. The event also has a social conscious side: proceeds raise money for a variety of Florida nonprofits, and the seafood used in the grilling competition is sourced using environmentally sustainable practices. It’s a win-win for both sports and food fans alike.

Brazilian Fest

Pompano Beach has the highest concentration of Brazilians in southern Florida, so each year in October the community celebrates this heritage with an incredible festival of Brazilian culture. Sample traditional Brazilian food, see dance and Capoeira demonstrations, hear musical performances from both local and international artists, and take in the incredible talents of Brazilian painters, sculptors, and other expressive arts. Plan to spend Saturday night dancing to the vibrant music and enjoying the warm coastal evening!
