Oklahoma State University:

OSU offers over 40 degrees and/or certificates and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. OSU is great in terms of flexibility since classes can be taken on-campus and online, during the daytime or at night. Its Center for Health Sciences includes Osteopath Medicine, Health Care Administration, Forensic Sciences.

In terms of sports, you can root for both the Cowgirls and Cowboys, OSU’s respective female and male athletic teams for a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, football, golf, tennis, track and field, and wrestling.

University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center:

Made up of 19 buildings, the OUHSC campus takes up 15 blocks near the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. The Center includes patient care institutions (like the Children’s Hospital and Diabetes Center) and educational and research facilities (like the College of Nursing and College of Medicine).

While UOHSC doesn’t have any sports teams of its own, students can still get into Sooner Sports, the general university’s athletic teams. These teams include men and women’s basketball and gymnastics, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and wrestling.

Oklahoma City University

is a private institution that consists of 8 colleges and schools and 1 Methodist seminary. There are over 70 undergrad majors, 20 graduate degrees, and a variety of doctoral programs. Oklahoma City University Housing is available in a variety of arrangements: Coed dorms, fraternity/sorority houses, and apartments.

The OCU Stars are the collective name of the University’s athletic teams. For men, these include baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, rowing, soccer, track & field and wrestling; for women, these include basketball, cross country, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, track & field, volleyball, and wrestling.

Oklahoma City Community College

Also known as OCCC or O-Triple-C, has more than 20,000 students and is located in the South Metro area of Oklahoma City. OCCC mostly offers 2-year programs for Associate in Arts degrees (A.A), Associate in Science degrees (A.S.), Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S), and Certificates of Mastery.

When it comes to sports, there are no university teams to root for, though there are a number of health clubs and fitness classes students can take advantage of. Despite the lack of sports teams, students choose OCCC because of its high-quality courses, free tutoring, and scheduling flexibility.
