The Ultimate Moving Playlist

Ultimate Moving Playlist

Even if you are super excited about the moving process, and can’t wait to start packing, there will come a point where you will hit a wall and need some motivation. Maybe you get tired, or perhaps your mind starts racing thinking of everything you have to get done. You might even feel like you are making more of a mess and getting nothing accomplished. If you have some motivational music playing, you are less likely to experience these scenarios.

Music motivates and helps you focus. When you are listening to a great song and singing along, you are less likely to get in your head, thinking about other things you should be doing. Plus, you are far more likely to pack faster, and not even feel like you are putting forth any effort.

If you run five miles with and without music, there is a good chance that the run that is motivated by your favorite songs will be easier and faster. This is because you aren’t bored, or focused on how tired or sore you are. Music makes you feel good, which can amount to increased productivity. This same theory applies when you are packing to move. If you are packing in total silence for two hours, you will likely feel like you have been working half a day. Plus, you might feel even more stressed because the wheels were turning in your head the whole time. Two hours with a fantastic playlist will likely feel like 20 minutes, and you will probably still be ready to keep packing a little more.

The key is the right playlist. You need songs that have a catchy beat, or those oldies but goodies that bring back fun memories of your younger and crazier days. The problem is that if you sit down at the computer to download music for your move, your mind draws a blank. Why can’t you think of all these great songs you love when you need to? Well, now you don’t have to! These songs can be an inspiration to keep you moving!

Music has the ability to keep your energy level high, and your mood uplifted. Singing along with music has been proven to improve the mood. If you throw n a few dance moves for Fido and Mrs. Whiskers sitting there on the sofa watching, then you will even happier. Dance is exercise and any type of physical activity releases endorphins. These are essential hormones that just make you feel good. So, not only will you stay happy while you are working hard, you won’t be so focused on that sore back or paper cut you acquired from the cardboard box. Don’t only use this playlist for packing though. You will need all the motivation you can get to unpack and set your new place up, especially when your energy level starts to fade later in the day.
