Waterfront Dining in Brooklyn

Waterfront Dining in Brooklyn

For whatever reason, many people simply forget that there is waterfront dining in Brooklyn. Movers that you hire may be able to point you in the direction of one, or all of the establishments listed below, especially if they are from the area. While most visitors assume they have to go to places like Chelsea and the Upper East Side to indulge in a mouthwatering meal on an open terrace, Brooklyn dwellers know they have a few hidden gems of their own.

Baku Palace

This restaurant for lunch and dinner turns into a happening nightclub in the evening. Not only that, Baku Palace does private parties and even has private halls for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, sweet sixteen parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, graduation and other special events.

Although they offer meat options, Baku Palace is most known for their fantastic seafood selection. A few popular favorites include Eel Salad, Stuffed Lobster, Shrimp in Saffron Sauce and Sturgeon Shish Kebob. They also offer the biggest vodka selection you will find anywhere from labels around the world.

Clements Maryland Crabhouse

Whether you are looking for a casual place to enjoy a cocktail, or if you are in need of an extra-large meal after an exhausting day, this is the place to be. Clements Maryland Crabhouse offers a laid back atmosphere, so even though you can dress to impress, you will still be comfortable in a pair of shorts and flip-flops. Oysters, mussels, crab and buckets of beer are what this place is known for. Of course, what you will see most patrons devouring at all hours of the day are the crabs, as they have an all-you-can-eat special each and every day.

The River Café

This is fine dining at its best and gents need jackets after 5 pm. The establishment is exquisite and so are the gorgeous views. You know you are in an expensive restaurant when they don’t put prices on the menu, so make sure you are not close to your credit card limit when you take your date there. They offer a great brunch menu as well. Regardless when you go or what you eat, leave room for dessert. The Chocolate Marquise Brooklyn Bridge is a must try!

Alma

It does not matter how long you have to wait for a table on the rooftop terrace, it will be well worth it. The roof deck is even heated in the winter, so you can enjoy views of the sun setting behind the Manhattan skyline all year-round.

There are also many other restaurants that may not be as popular or have as many reviews, but they also might be worth checking out. Ask your Brooklyn movers about Brooklyn Crab, Fusion East, Giando on the Water, Gran Electrica, Grimaldi’s, Il Fornetto, Tatiana, The New Winter Garden, XO Creperie and Yiasou.
